Fix creaky floorboards on joists
Traditional floorboards creak when they move on the joists underneath. The Stop Squeak Repair Kit fixes this from above: scored screws pull each board down onto the joist, then snap off below the surface.

How to fix it, step by step
- Find the joists. Use the two joist-finder screws in the kit and a string line to mark where the joists run.
- Drive the scored screws. Use the depth fixture to drive each screw through the board into the joist next to the creak.
- Snap off the head and fill. The screw breaks below the surface. Fill the small hole to match the board.
