How It Works

The method is simple: insert the specially designed screw into the top surface of the floor. Its unique double-threaded design ensures the screw pulls the chipboard or plywood down into the joist, eliminating any noise. This action stabilizes the floor by securing the subfloor to the joists and therefore eliminating noise., 

The screws are designed to snap just below the surface of the wood leaving an invisible finish in carpeted surfaces and a small indentation to fill in wood finishes.

Each screw is coated with a special coating to prevent it catching or damaging the carpet as it is screwed in. 

The kit features two joist finder screws that can be inserted at each end of the joist from above. Simple tie a string between the two screws (or used masking tape) to identify where the joist is and where to insert the screws.
